Transportation Overview

District 12’s Transportation Department works diligently to provide a safe and efficient transportation service to students and families where your child’s safety is our first priority. We are proud to offer all of our students bus transportation to and from their residences within the District's boundaries. We also partner with a variety of other agencies to provide specialized transportation services for outplaced students and students with special needs.

District 12 operates its own fleet of school buses. Each bus is maintained at our Transportation Center located behind Johnsburg High School. All buses are inspected twice yearly by the State of Illinois to insure that each bus is complying with State and Federal regulations. All buses are supplied the proper safety equipment, which includes fire extinguishers, two-way radios and first aid kits.

Please submit any bus stop change requests via email to dispatch@johnsburg12.org at least 5 business days before the change can take effect.

Please submit any field trip requests using the proper form from the staff access page at least 20 business days in advance for planning and approval purposes. Please email approved filed trip request forms to dispatch@johnsburg12.org.
